Annapurna Sunrise Trek-9 days

Pariwar Holidays Pvt. Ltd. welcomes you to yet another of its most fantastic journeys to the Himalayas. This very trek, named as Annapurna Sunrise Trek is also famous as Poon Hill Trek. The Annapurna summit is the 10th highest peak in the world. This is a stunning trek in the heart of the Annapurna range and it is relatively easier one that follows the zigzag path through villages and rhododendron forests. The best of the panoramic views of the Himalayas can be seen from the Poon Hill. This hill is considered to be one of the best viewpoints in earth to see the enchanting Himalayas. The trek reaches the maximum altitude of 3210m, so anyone with a normal level of fitness can opt to undertake this trek comfortably. Ulleri Hill is another of the interesting places in this journey. While ascending this hill, there are more than 3,000 stone steps. This will be an opportunity to test your stamina on the hills of Nepal!!

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu [1300 m/4264 ft]
Welcome to the beautiful city of Nepal!! There won’t be a possibility for you to feel like an outsider when you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu as one of the representatives of Pariwar Holidays Pvt. Ltd will be there to receive you. After your airport check-up formalities, you will be led directly to your hotel. Please make sure that you have enough rest at the hotel and you can also try to explore around the beautiful city on your own. It is fun to meet people around the place as most of them speak English. In the evening, the team of Pariwar Holidays Pvt. Ltd will sponsor a dinner in one of the best restaurants in the area. You can enjoy delicious cuisines along the team of Pariwar Holidays.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Today after breakfast we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual sites of Kathmandu. Most of these landmarks are categorized under World Heritage Sites. They include the historic Durbar Square of Basantapur, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhists’ shrine (Bouddha Nath). Boudha Nath is the largest spherical Stupa of Nepal. At the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion and trek leaders along with other team members will also be meeting to discuss about the upcoming adventure. Please do feel free to ask any questions regarding the trip that you are making.

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara [823m/2,700ft] and Trek to Ulleri [2050 m/6725 ft]: 30 min flight and 6 hrs trek.
On this day, we will take a short flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The flight is just of 30 minutes. After our arrival in Pokhara Airport, we will go to Naya Pul in a bus. Naya Pul marks as the starting point for your trek. The trek of this day is of around six hours through the sub-tropical jungle. As the trail ascends, we can view various cliffs overlooking the valley. Along the trail, we cross the Modi Khola (river) and climb to the village of Ulleri. The trek of this day ends at this village.

Day 04: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani [2750 m/ 9020 ft]: 4 - 5 hrs trek
This day, we continue our trail from Ulleri towards Ghorepani. The trail comprises of mostly ascending. It takes around 4-5 hours of trekking to reach Ghorepani. Ghorepani ( In nepali language, Ghora means horse and pani means water) marks as the place where ancient traders,while making their journey found water for their horses. From Ghorepani, incredible views of the Annapurna Range and some of tallest mountains of the world can be seen. Our overnight will be in one of the lodges in Ghorepani.

Day 05: Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill and then to Tadapani [2700m/8,860 ft]: 6 - 7 hrs
This day marks as the highlight of the trip as we need to get up to climb to the top of Poon Hill (3210 m/10,529 ft) to watch the morning sunrise over the Annapurna Mountain ranges. Beholding the scenic views and the sunrise from the top of Poon Hill makes you feel that the place is really a gifted one for viewing the mountains. From Poon Hill, the extraordinary scenic view of the more than 20 snowcapped peaks is sure to mesmerize you. The panoramic beauty of Mustang and Pokhara can also be glanced from this hill. After watching the sunrise from this hill to our heart’s content, we return back to Ghorepani for breakfast. After breakfast, we start our journey again for Tadapani. The trail is ever beautiful from Ghorepani towards Tadapani as we pass through the forests of rhododendron (the national flower of Nepal) and the most scenic waterfalls. Our overnight for this day will be in one of the lodges at Tadapani. (the trekking of this day is of around 6-7 hours).

Day 06: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk [1940m/6360 ft]: 3 - 4 hrs
Ghandruk is a little Gurung village (Gurung is one of the ethnic tribes of Nepal) overlooking the valley. The trail now makes a steep descend as we make our way back to Pokhara. The scenic views plenty of the wildflowers can be seen as we descend the mountain. The splendid view of mountains can also be seen while we are descending down. The mountains includes: Fishtail Mountain, Annapurna South and Hiuchuli. An wonderful Gurung Museum is located at Ghandruk. This museum creates an opportunity to learn more about the unique culture of the Gurung people. The actual trekking time of this day is around 3- 4 hours. Our overnight stay will be in one of the lodges at Ghandruk.

Day 07: Ghandruk to Pokhara: 4 hrs trek and 1hr drive
This day marks as our last day of trekking. The trail of this day descends downhill for around four hours as we make our way to Naya Pul. From Naya Pull, we will catch a bus and drive back towards Pokhara. You will have time to explore around the beautiful city of Pokhara on this day. You can also take time to visit the famous Phewa Lake and do a boating in this beautiful lake. The mountain ranges reflecting in the serene water of lake is sure to mesmerize you. Our overnight stay will be in one of the lodges at Pokhara.

Day 08: Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu: 30 min flight
On this day, we have plenty of time to spend at Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful city that offers various adventures. You can opt for Para-gliding or any other exciting adventures there. By taking an afternoon flight, we return back to Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will drop you to your designated hotel. In the evening, our company will provide a farewell dinner with the most delicious cuisines in one of the restaurants of Thamel. Our overnight will be in a hotel in Thamel.

Day 09: Final departure from Kathmandu
This day is marks as the last day of your stay in Nepal. The time that you spend in Nepal along with the team of Pariwar Holidays Pvt. Ltd. has come to an end. Depending on the schedule of your flight, our representative will take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure to your homeland. Though this is a very short trip, we expect for more visit from you in the coming days with the team of Pariwar Holidays Pvt. Ltd. We will be more than happy to serve you in the coming days too.
